Patricia Barnett, Radiotherapy Network Manager
I’ve been the West Midlands Radiotherapy Network Manager since August 2023.
My background includes working for 18 years in the NHS (primarily in primary care, commissioning, contracting, performance and assurance) in local and regional roles; and 7 years working in health charities in national partnership and clinical engagement roles.
The most challenging aspect of my role is becoming familiar with the technical aspects of radiotherapy as this is not my background.
What I most enjoy is getting out and about in order to meet new colleagues and to understanding how through collaborative working, the Radiotherapy Network can help and add value.

Dr Paul Sanghera, Radiotherapy Network clinical lead and clinical oncologist in Birmingham
I have spent over 15 years working as a consultant clinical oncologist in The West Midlands. As departmental radiotherapy and radiosurgery clinical lead, I had the privilege of overseeing significant changes in radiotherapy including widespread adoption of IG IMRT, and significant expansion of stereotactic radiotherapy. As brain tumour MDT and regional EAG lead, my focus was on implementing efficient clinical pathways and adoption of an evidence based integrated approach to care across the region. I have worked with trial groups, NHSE and the national quality assurance team on radiotherapy protocols and peer review. With continuous technology advances, it is important departments in the region remain up to date and patients have access to these advances and clinical trials. I believe we can continue to improve quality of care for patients by ensuring utilisation of updated evidence-based protocols, incorporation of higher-quality imaging into planning, and embedding peer review into clinical pathways.

Hello, I’m Dr Dev Srinivasan, Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust and recently appointed as Deputy Lead for the West Midlands Radiotherapy Network. With over a decade of experience in oncology, I’ve had the privilege of working across clinical care, research, and service development. My passion lies in improving patient outcomes through collaboration, innovation, and consistency in care. As Deputy Lead, I’m committed to supporting our regional teams in delivering high-quality, equitable radiotherapy services and driving forward initiatives that make a real difference to patients and staff alike

Hello, my name is Lesego Ncube, and I’ve recently joined the West Midlands Radiotherapy Network team as an Administrative Support. I come from a clinical background in Diagnostic Radiography, having worked in the field for over two years. Transitioning into this administrative role has given me a valuable opportunity to support the wider radiotherapy community in a new capacity. One of the highlights of my time so far has been assisting with organising the SABR Study Day, held on 15 May 2025 in Birmingham. It was an insightful and engaging event, and I look forward to being involved in similar initiatives.
