On 21st March, 2024, we hosted a brachytherapy lunch and learn for 4 Radiotherapy Networks (West Midlands, East Midlands, South West and East of England).
The lunch and learn session was carried out via MS Teams giving the opportunity to hear about the experiences of some of the trusts who recently had a CQC visit for their brachytherapy services. Short presentations were provided from the following trusts –
- University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust
- University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust
- Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
- Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The session was concluded with a Q&A that enabled shared learning, engagement and shared practices.
Evaluation showed:
- 98% of respondents (n = 44) said they strongly agreed or agreed that the session was helpful.
- 55% of respondents (n = 44) said they strongly agreed or agreed that they felt prepared for their next CQC visit.
- 89% of respondents had identified actions to take.
- 98% of respondents indicated they’d like to attend similar sessions in the future.
