The EAG provides specialist advice and guidance to the WMCA Board on the standards of service for patients with cancer reflecting current best practice and opportunities for development.

The EAG has delegated authority from the Regional Cancer Board for agreed decision making.

The EAG is directly managed and supported by the West Midlands Cancer Alliance team.

The agreed membership of the Radiotherapy EAG is as follows:

  • Chair – appointed by West Midlands Cancer Alliance
  • Deputy chair – appointed by West Midlands Cancer Alliance
  • West Midlands Radiotherapy Network Manager
  • West Midlands Radiotherapy Network Clinical Lead
  • Research / Clinical trials lead 
  • Therapeutic Radiographer lead from each of the six radiotherapy units
  • Clinical Oncologist lead from each of the six radiotherapy units
  • Radiotherapy Physics lead from each of the six radiotherapy units
  • Patient advocates x 2
  • Cancer Alliance support manager
