The QA/QI Meeting is a regular working group session within the West Midlands Radiotherapy Network, focused on supporting ongoing quality assurance (QA) and quality improvement (QI) across radiotherapy services in the region. These meetings bring together professionals from multiple provider trusts to review service quality, share best practice, support innovation, and help ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based radiotherapy care. The Radiotherapy Network’s purpose includes strengthening partnership working, driving service improvement, adopting new technologies, and ensuring patient access to safe and effective treatment. The QA/QI group typically reviews progress on quality initiatives, identifies improvement opportunities, and supports alignment with national standards and local radiotherapy priorities across the West Midlands. If you are interested in joining this group, please email westmidlandsradiotherapynetwork@uhcw.nhs.uk DATE CHANGE FROM 17 JUL 2026 TO 11 SEPT 2026

Practice Educator meetings bring together colleagues from across the West and East Midlands to share successful approaches to supporting learners and those interested in a radiotherapy career. The group works collaboratively to highlight what has worked well in their services, helping others refine and improve how they guide students and aspiring students. These meetings also ensure learners are effectively signposted, supported, and encouraged throughout their journey into the radiotherapy profession. This meeting is invite only

The Network Oversight Group (NOG) is the formally constituted governing board of the West Midlands Radiotherapy Network. It provides strategic oversight and assurance for the delivery of the network’s agreed work programme across all radiotherapy provider trusts in the region. The NOG is accountable to NHS commissioners and ensures alignment with all Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) whose patients access radiotherapy services within the network. Membership includes senior representatives from each radiotherapy provider trust, a clinical oncologist, therapeutic radiographer, heads of physics, patient advocates, and key members of the Radiotherapy Network team, including the Network Manager, Clinical Lead, and Business Support roles. The group meets regularly to review progress, address challenges, support quality improvement, adopt innovations, and ensure consistent, high‑quality radiotherapy services across the West Midlands. This meeting is for invited members only.

All of the work showcased has been volunteered from other radiotherapy departments for this community driven project.
